Meaningful work during transformative times

Tima Newsletter - January 2026

Dear Tima Family, Friends, and Kindred Spirits,

We hope this note reaches you gently. It feels important to begin by acknowledging the pain and unrest moving through the world today. In times of such collective heartache, sharing news can feel tender. And even so, we believe that moments of connection and shared purpose can also be a source of strength.

We’ve been quiet here for a year, pouring our energy into the work we love: building bridges, supporting partnerships, and listening deeply to the needs of this moment. It is slow, relational work, and it has been an honour to walk it.

You’ll find us now rooted temporarily in Barcelona, where we’ve moved our office to be closer to our partners in Catalunya. Being near them has allowed us to deepen our collaborations and exchange more in person than over screens: a small but meaningful shift towards more embodied, grounded work.

Even now, we are reminded every day that the change we long for is already unfolding. It lives in the quiet collaborations, the careful alliances, and the growing chorus of voices calling for a world rooted in justice, reciprocity, and care.

Here are a few ways our own small thread is being woven into that larger tapestry:

🌿 Co-Directing the World Ayahuasca Forum 2026Together with ICEERS and the Yorenka Tasorentsi Institute, we are helping to weave a historic gathering in Girona, Spain (September 9–13, 2026). Guided by Amazonian Indigenous spiritual leaders, the Forum is a space where different ways of knowing—ancestral and contemporary—can meet in deep dialogue. Ayahuasca serves as a nexus, opening conversations on land sovereignty, interspecies communication, biocultural healing, and collective stewardship. It feels like a living prayer for a greater “We.”

And we’re so very excited to share that we’ve just announced the first confirmed speakers for the Forum. You are among the very first to receive this news—a glimpse of the beautiful voices that will help shape this gathering.

Josh has recently published a blogpost sharing the history of his connection with the Forum's founders.

🌱 An Invitation to SupportAs we deepen into the work shared here, we also find ourselves at a moment where support from our community matters more than ever. We are actively seeking donors and sponsors for the World Ayahuasca Forum, and truly, every contribution - large or small - helps weave this gathering into being. If you feel called to support, or know someone who might, we would be so grateful to connect. Let's think together about what a meaningful partnership could look like.

🤝 Walking with ICEERSOur partnership with ICEERS continues to deepen, rooted in shared purpose and steady presence. Their work is a quiet lifeline in this world: offering legal defense, crisis support, safety, and pathways for community self-strengthening and biocultural healing. It is work that is both essential and quietly under-celebrated. We warmly invite you to visit their new website, and feel for yourself the gentle, resilient ripples of care they send out into the world.

✨ Refined PathwaysWe’ve gently updated our Services and Projects pages, not to seek new commitments this year, but to clarify how we hope to collaborate when the time is right. Consider it an invitation for future possibilities.

🌍 Deepening with Earth Codes ObservatoryOur collaboration has evolved into a beautiful exchange of regenerative design and indigenous knowledge. More shared offerings will bloom in time.

Thank you for being part of this circle. Whether you’ve donated, shared our work, or simply held us in your thoughts—your presence matters.

If you feel moved to connect further:

In gratitude and solidarity,

Aili & Josh
